Kempegowda MuseumKempe Gowda Jayanthi was celebrated by the Karnataka State Government and citizens, on 27th June 2017, to commemorate his 507th birthday. Kempegowda Museum, a tribute to Kempegowda I, the founder of Bengaluru, is housed in the Mayo Hall, on M G Road, Bengaluru. The museum, maintained by BBMP, has a statue of Kempegowda I, Bengaluru map and a wealth of historical information about the Yelahanka dynasty, forts, temples, tanks, watch towers, markets etc.
